Getting to know your plastic surgeon, Demetrius Evrivades

When you place your cosmetic and medical care in the hands of a surgeon, you obviously need to ensure you choose your care and service provider wisely. Your life could be at stake, should any complications occur, and your looks, as well as how you feel following surgery, are almost certainly at stake.

Demetrius Evrivades firmly believes that the decisions his patients make about cosmetic procedures should be taken very seriously and from a fully informed position. He is mindful of his responsibility to provide the best possible service and care, in order to deliver optimal results safely. With that in mind, let’s have a look at what key skills and experiences you should look for when choosing a plastic surgeon.

How experienced is your cosmetic surgeon?

Obviously, a few years of experience in cosmetics surgical procedures is preferable to a newly qualified surgeon, because an experienced surgeon will be more confident in his or her ability to deal efficiently with any unexpected issues that may arise, and will have had the chance to develop more advanced techniques.

Demetrius graduated in medicine from Liverpool Medical School in 1994 and worked in general practice before qualifying as a surgeon in 2000. In 2007, he graduated in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery from the Toronto-based Wharton Centre for Head and Neck surgery and has been a practising cosmetic surgeon ever since.

Over the past 10 years, he has performed a huge range of surgically cosmetic facial and body procedures. He is well placed to provide advice and treatment that will best suit each individual patient and then deliver outstanding results.

Is your surgeon professional?

The professionalism of the service Demetrius provides is reflected in his membership of respected medical institutions. As well as being a member of the British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic surgeons (BAPRAS), and being on the public surgery specialist register at the General Medical Council, he is also part of the Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS). He is even involved in the training of other Midlands-based plastic surgeons.

Should you decide to have a consultation with Demetrius about any cosmetic procedures you’re considering, you will be invited to the Queen Elizabeth or BMI hospital in Edgbaston, in Birmingham, which is where Demetrius performs all his procedures.

During your appointment, you will discuss all the details of your treatment, care and expectations with a view to managing them realistically. Feeling curious about the positive changes Demetrius can bring to your life? Why not give our medical team to call? We’ll be able to schedule you an appointment at a time that’s convenient for you.
